Please continue to encourage, and bring in your own food donations. We plan to add any new donations to the Thanksgiving can-drive proceeds, and deliver them to the Boston Teachers Union initiative reported earlier.
Although I haven't been able to get any "official" advice on the question, some sources have suggested donations of granola bars or power bars -- food items that travel well, but do not require can openers. Comment if you have any guidance to offer.
